HISTORIC HOME PLANS
MID-CENTURY MODERN HOME PLANS
The Mid-Century Modern home epitomizes sleek style fused with natural materials. Irving Gill, the pioneer California architect anticipated this style in has pared down designs of the early 1900s. Frank Lloyd Wright, with his low-cost "Usonian" houses, produced a body of work that inspired a generation of architects to simplify floor plans and allow a free flow of space, throughout the home and from indoors to outdoors. From the 1930s to 1960s the Mid-Century Modern house became the ideal home for the modern family.
